Dichromacy is a "shield 'em up" game as we liked to call it, a shoot 'em up game where the player reflects bullets instead of shooting bullets himself. The game was created on the Playstation 3 with the Phyre Engine at NHTV Breda University which was part of the PlayStation First program.
I was asked to join this project halfway through its development stage. In the beginning I worked closely with the Lead Designer to improve the design but later I spent the most of my time on pipeline management. I was responsible for the integration of all the assets in the game and worked closely with both the 3D artists and the programmers to make this happen. I quickly adapted and learned the tools and fixed issues myself if possible. In the end of the project I was leading three other team members to integrate all the assets. It was not a usual design task but it was a great learning experience.
