OVERKILL's The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS developed by Overkill Software / Starbreeze Studios.
Set in The Walking Dead Universe, the players try to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C., fighting both Walkers and human enemies.
Four players form a tightly knit team; Aidan, Heather, Maya and Grant, where each character has their own skill tree, squad role, play style and background story. Now they all share a common objective where survival and teamwork is paramount.
Joining the team in early 2018 after working on Crossfire for a year, I was able to help the team during the last few months before release.
Many of the environments were already built so I mainly worked on objective setups, puzzle scripting and encounter setups.
I still had to chance to be the core designer behind one of the DLC levels: "No Sanctuary" where I could still make layout changes.
On top of that I maintained a few of the levels for release as well as work on the E3 demo. I continued to co-design and maintain further DLC levels which is also what I am currently working on right now.
During this time I was able to greatly improve my understanding of blueprint scripting inside the Unreal Engine.
